Guillaume Lekeu
(20 January 1870 – 21 January 1894) was a Belgian composer of classical music.
Violin Sonata in G (1892/93)
I. Très modéré [0:00]
II. Très lent [13:08]
III. Très animé [24:17]
A violin sonata by the much too short-lived Belgian composer Guillaume Lekeu (1870-1894), a gorgeous work full of vitality and passion. Before Lekeu died of typhoid fever at age 24, he had been a talented student of César Franck and Vincent d'Indy, and echoes of Franck's voice can be heard at times in this sonata. The famous Belgian virtuoso violinist Eugène Ysaÿe commissioned this work from the young composer and premiered it in 1893.

Sonata for Cello and Piano in F (1888)
Sonate pour Piano et Violoncelle en Fa (1888)
I. Adagio malinconico - Allegro vivace e molto appassionato [0:00]
II. Allegro molto quasi presto [20:55]
III. Lento assai e con molto di malinconia [32:39]
IV. Epilogue (unfinished [46:30]; completed posthumously [50:25])
A chamber work for piano and cello by Belgian composer Guillaume Lekeu (1870-1894). He composed this sonata at age 18, while studying with César Franck. After Lekeu tragically died of typhoid fever at age 24, Vincent d'Indy, who taught Lekeu after Franck's death, revised the score of the sonata and completed its epilogue (the conclusion heard here, however, appears to be slightly different from Indy's, incorporating part of the end of the first movement). This work was not published until 1923.
