그리스 전설에 나오는 두 연인.

아비도스의 레안드로스는 축제에서 세스토스에 있는 아프로디테의 처녀 사제인 헤로를 보게 된다. 둘은 사랑에 빠지고, 레안드로스는 밤중에 헤로의 탑에서 비치는 불빛을 따라 헬레스폰트를 헤엄쳐 건너 그녀를 만난다. 폭풍이 치던 어느 날 밤 불은 꺼지고 레안드로스는 물에 빠져 죽는다. 연인의 시체를 본 헤로도 물에 뛰어들어 죽었다.

이 이야기는 오비디우스, 무사이오스 등의 작품을 비롯한 여러 문헌에서 나오며, 후세의 시인들에 의해 개작되었고, 바이런 경의 시 〈아비도스의 신부 The Bride of Abydos〉에도 나온다.
