Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 25

The Piano Quartet in G minor, Op. 25, was composed by Johannes Brahms between 1856 and 1861. It was premiered in 1861 in Hamburg, with Clara Schumann playing the piano. It was also played in Vienna on November 16, 1862, with Brahms himself at the piano supported by members of the Hellmesberger Quartet.^[1] Like most piano quartets, it is scored for piano, violin, viola and cello.

The quartet is in four movements:

1. Allegro (G minor)
2. Intermezzo: Allegro ma non troppo - Trio: Animato (C minor, ends in C major)
3. Andante con moto (E-flat major)
4. Rondo alla Zingarese: Presto (G minor)

 

Piano Quartet No. 2 in A major, Op. 26

The Piano Quartet in A major, Op. 26 by Johannes Brahms is a musical composition scored for piano, violin, viola and cello. It was completed in 1861^[1] and received its premiere in November 1863 by the Hellmesberger Quartet with the composer playing the piano part.^[2] It has been especially noted for drawing influence from composer Franz Schubert.^[3][1] Lasting approximately 50 minutes, this quartet is the longest of Brahms's chamber works to perform. [28세에 작곡. 슈베르트의 영향을 받았고 브람스 실내약 중 연주시간이 가장 길다(50여분).

The quartet is in four movements:

1. Allegro non troppo (A major)
2. Poco Adagio (E major)
3. Scherzo: Poco Allegro (A major , trio in D minor)
4. Finale: Allegro (A major)

Piano Quartet No. 3 in C minor, Op. 60

The Piano Quartet in C minor, Op. 60 (sometimes called the Werther Quartet), completed by

Johannes Brahms in 1875(42세), is scored for piano, violin, viola and cello.

 

The quartet is in four movements:

1. Allegro non troppo (C minor)
2. Scherzo: Allegro (C minor, ends in C major)
3. Andante (E major)
4. Finale: Allegro comodo (C minor, ends in C major)
