Jesús Guridi Bidaola (25 September 1886 – 7 April 1961) was a Spanish Basque composer,

and is a key player in the Spanish and Basque music of the twentieth century.(스페인 바스크

출신, 20세기스페인과 바스크 지역의 핵심적인 음악가이다). His style fits into the late Romantic idiom, directly inherited from Wagner, and with a strong influence from the Basque culture.

( 음악 스타일은 후기 낭만파 특히 바그너 그리고 바스크 지역의 문화에서 강하게 영향을 많이 받았다) .

Among his best known works are the operetta El Caserío, the opera Amaya, the orchestral work Ten Basque melodies and his organ works, where the Triptych of the Good Shepherd can be highlighted

 Sinfonía pyrenaica (1945)

I. Andante sostenuto - Allegro molto moderato [0:00]
II. Presto non troppo [18:50]
III. Allegro brioso [34:20]

An orchestral work by Spanish Basque composer Jesús Guridi (1886-1961), in which

he attempts to express in music the "soul" of the Pyrenees Mountains. This is achieved

in abstract terms, as there is no explicit programme for the symphony. Still, there is

plenty of vivid imagery in the music and some of the main themes are derived from Basque

folksongs.
